Faith No More mailing list update

December 29, 2009

For those of you you have yet to sign up to the Faith No More mailing list, here is the latest update:

“Hi Kids.

First of all, yeah, we know we’ve had this mailing list for awhile now; to be exact, we’ve been collecting your names since May! Nevertheless, we’ve been hard at work: two tours of Europe and one of South America. Plus, we’ve tried to keep this whole endeavor as honest as possible; we haven’t employed any so-called “street teams” for viral marketing on forums, etc, and we’ve done our utmost to try to stick to the no-interviews policy, in order to keep the focus centered around the shows and the music.

However, although we’ve been relatively quiet on a media level, that is not to say that we haven’t appreciated the 1000% percent support we’ve received from our fans. Truly, these shows have exceeded our expectations, and a big part of it has come from the amazing energy of the audience. It’s been a real shot in the arm, and made this worthwhile for all of us. We honestly had no idea what was going to happen when we got into this, and are humbly overwhelmed by your attention and praise and good will.

So, here’s a big THANK YOU for 2009, and a wish that 2010 is a productive, prosperous and happy one for all of you!!

Cheers,

FAITH NO MORE

PS. NEW PHOTOS of LEG 3: SOUTH AMERICA are now posted on the fnm.com site!!

PSS. STAY TUNED FOR US DATES! “

The announcement of U.S. dates can’t come soon enough. I need to know if I have to plan a trip or if they are doing a full scale tour and making it to Minnesota. I haven’t seen them live since KFAD came out and they failed to make it here foe AOTY. I can’t wait to see them live again, also my 11 year old son is chomping at the bit to see them. It would be his first concert and would probably never be topped.

I have seen them. 3 times, TRT, Angel Dust and KFAD tour. My eleven year old son has never seen them. But if they come within sniffing distance of MN he will. His favorite song is Just a Man, so hopefully when we see them it will be included.

I see… Well, I discovered them when they splitted and at that time, I was turning 9, now I’m 20 and I saw them a few weeks after my birthday at Rock en Seine (such a great fucking good b-day gift !!)!! Hell yeah !!

Just a Man ? You son has great tastes, I love this song too. My favourite is Zombie Eaters and my ring tone on my cell is Midlife Crisis.

    Hey All,

I just started a thread over on David Letterman’s board asking if they could book FNM as a musical guest in 2010

    http://www.cbs.com/forum/posts/list/97831.page

If any of you have the time please take a few moments to create a profile and reply to that thread. There’s a minimal amount of activity on that board so even just a few replies will stand out.

    Thank you all -

I like the idea of having Danny Devito as a guest as well (from post on CBS forum). Devito and FNM would be a very symbiotic relationship on the Letterman show. Plus Devito has a hit show to promote that Patton may have a guest spot on…

I was also thinking maybe post a new topic on the discussion board on Letterman’s Facebook page ~ seems a bit more lively than the CBS forum, but not too crowded.

“I was also thinking maybe post a new topic on the discussion board on Letterman’s Facebook page”

Please do, sounds like a great idea and I would myself except I’m allergic to facebook. I physically can not be on that website for more than 30 seconds before having a seizure.

Alas, Facebook causes me to collapse under a mountain of ADD. I don’t have a profile. Perhaps someone else can take the plunge? :-/

Anyone know if FNM is playing a show for NYE tomorrow night in San Francisco? Just knowing that it’s a long-standing tradition for them to play New Years Eve, plus the fact that Roddy is in SF this week…

Of course, it would be a surprise show I would imagine and if it happens…DAMN….another reason I wish I lived in SF :)

and p.s. thats absolutely disgusting. fnm is definitely not going to sign at your record shop only because you got a chub.

so the new rumor going around is a soundgarden/fnm tour for the us. i can only hope, although it would be cool just to see fnm on their own.

They know that we care a a Lot. Happy New Year everyone :)

FNM might be on the Dutch Pinkpop festival. Although it is a rumour. See Dutch article:

    http://www.rockblog.nl/news/2010/01/06/faith-no-more-geboekt-voor-pinkpop-2010

The site claims to have inside information. From a tweet I saw they say the info is from family of the organizor (Mr. Jan Smeets) Still only a rumour. Pinkpop site: http://www.pinkpop.nl/

  13. January 7, 2010 4:47 pm

Really ? If it’s confirmed, well I’ll have to learn Dutch and wear my FNM-lovin outfit !!! Let’s crossing fingers and wish that it will be true :-D Yaaaaay !!!

Forget Pukepop… Guys, come to Honolulu!

The Honolulu Symphony just went bankrupt (a very sad story, actually) and the Blaisdell Concert hall in beautiful Honolulu will be wide open for dates after march. Venue organizers are frantically scrambling to fill up the schedule. They are looking for BIG NAME ACTS. Imagine playing in a tropical paradise for a couple thousand mostly curious and astounded Asian tourists (and me!)! This is a no-brainer.

Plus I will bring you a pineapple!
