You might already know about this, but I received an email this afternoon about a planned tube strike for next week – Tuesday 7pm through to Thursday 7pm, affecting those on their way to the Brixton show. I know it’s not strictly FNM news but might be worth giving a heads up anyway.

    Here’s the email:

    Dear TicketWeb Customer,
This is an important email from TicketWeb regarding your booking for the Faith No More event at the O2 Academy Brixton on 10 June 2009.

There is a planned tube strike starting next Tuesday at approx 19:00 through to Thursday at 19:00 and thus, will affect those attending Faith No More on Wednesday 10 June 2009.

Below is the full statement from TFL:

‘As I am sure you will have read, the Rail, Maritime and Transport (RMT) union has said it intends to take strike action on the Tube network from 1859hrs on Tuesday 9 June until 1858hrs on Thursday 11 June, although disruption to services may continue for a period after this.

TfL will be making every effort to keep London moving should the strike go ahead – DLR, London Overground, National Rail and London Bus services should run as normal. In addition, we are seeking to get more buses out on the London Buses network, and introduce some extra services on the river, but no doubt all these means of transport will get very busy.

Where to find up-to-date travel information:

Where it is an option, we would advise people to stagger their journeys. Information is available on the TfL website – http://www.tfl.gov.uk – on a range of alternative travel options. As well as up to date information on public transport services which are running, you can find advice on the website about cycling, walking and car sharing to and from work. The London Cycling Campaign (LCC) are planning to set up some led cycle rides into London from the outer boroughs – more details will be available on their website http://www.lcc.org.uk.

Should you require any further information on travel during this period, please do not hesitate to contact TfL’s Travel Information Unit on 020 7222 1234 or e-mail travinfo@tfl.gov.uk (though the volume of enquiries is likely to be high over the strike period, so I would urge you to promote the TfL website – http://www.tfl.gov.uk – where possible).

Thank you for booking with TicketWeb, we hope you enjoy the event!

Cheers. Great site of yours too. x

Couldn’t find a contact email and I don’t have a twitter account, so this was the next best option!

You’ve got a great site here, the comprehensive coverage is really impressive and I’m sure much appreciated by everyone who comes here. I thought you might be interested in something I put together; a timeline to document the life of the band up to this point. I’m sure they’re picking up a lot of new fans now so it seemed like a good idea!

Just realised no-one will be able to get at the full size version because I’ve got a free Flickr account. If you’d like the original size version, let me know here in the comments.

Great website! Although u may want to update your Tour Date schedule on the right side of your page, seeing as South America, Australia, and now Mexico dates are missing…

Great site, glad to have found it. I translated the Chilean “El Mercurio” article entitled “Security, pornography and a butcher knife”. Email me if you want it. Good work.
