Links for a day (Volume 5)

March 31, 2009

Still no major tour news this week so time for another round-up of other Faith No More news.

  • Faith No More at Sziget? This rumour is gaining momentum but we have nothing concrete yet to back it up. The Hungarian festival which Faith No More played at 1997 takes place between 12-17 August.
  • Mike Patton continues to be busy with solo projects. The soundtrack for Crank 2: High Voltage will be released on 7 April. Check the track Hammer Falls here from Playlist and more tracks including an excellent vocal on Kickin’ on the soundtrack’s MySpace.
  • There’s a good review of the soundtrack on the UK site Den of Geek here. Sample quote: “Fans of Mike Patton’s other bands are certainly encouraged to pick this one up; it’ll stand up as an obscure gem down the line, so own it while it’s still available”.
  • Mike’s predecessor Chuck Mosely has also been busy on new projects. You can sample the not bad at all new track Tractor over on Chuck’s MySpace. More exciting news of former Faith No More members here tomorrow.

Does anybody have the slightest idea why Rock in Idro has been removed from tour dates page? I’m really starting to freak out. Need to book my tickets asap, and that thing really keeps me awake at nights (well, just for a couple of hours).
