May 17, 2009

A Portugal date for Faith No More’s European reunion tour has finally been confirmed. The band, who played their last ever concerts in Portugal in 1998, will play the Festival Sudoeste TNM, newspaper Correio da Manha reports.

Lets hope it’s not the last one this time..

This tour seems to be getting rather huge (24 dates now), I thought that they would just do a few festivals to finish off this year and do a full tour next year if the response was right.

The way it’s going we could get a couple of years out of this, a live DVD or two and a new album.

I hope the band don’t get pushed to hard right now, it might make them think twice for the future. Most of them have done their own thing for the last 11 years, Patton especially. If people push to hard they might just give it up.

Thinking about the comment I have just made, are the band contracted to anyone? a promoter? i know they have no record contract but who is paying them. Do they just take a cut of the gigs?.

If this carries on it will be a while before we see new Patton material.
