Faith No More have 72-page joke festival rider?

June 22, 2009

Norwegian website FVN features an interview with Melvin Benn, the well-known festival organiser and the main man behind the Hovefestivalen, which Faith No More play on Thursday 25 June. It includes the following sentence, roughly translated from Norwegian: “Another band he is looking forward to is the recently reunited Faith No More, who have provided a list 72 pages long (a so-called rider) of things they want backstage during their visit to Hove.”
Seems that the list is just a joke one by the band. Cheers for your comments.

For the record, the list is meant as a joke.

“Den skal imidlertid kun bestå av ting som koster en slikk og ingenting, åpenbart for å peke nese til diverse kravstore artister”

which translates to, at least with my english,

“However, it (the rider) contains things that dont cost much obviously to ridicule demanding artists “

It’s a joke from fnm to the festival management ridiculing demanding bands. Items on the list are things that dont cost i nickel. Dunno exactly what they are though would of been fun to see 🙂

    What Ben said.

BTW, I’m planning/hoping to snap a few pics and post some live tweets (“pinkcadillac” on Twitter) from the show come Thursday, unless I faint or end up in a quivering bundle somewhere, crying my heart out… 🙂

I’d love to see that list. Maybe it’ll surface at some point.

Sounds very amusing and typical of Mike Patton’s mockery of the music business and big band outrageous demands.
