Faith No More in Bucharest video, reviews, set list
The Last Word will return for all the outstanding concerts at the end of the European leg of the Second Coming tour but for now we’ll play catch-up with all last weekend’s central and eastern European action. I’ve already given you my Prague verdict and szappan’s guest post has done likewise for Sziget. Next up is Faith No More in Romania.
“Does Romania know how to meditate?”
Patton’s vocals at around 2.40 are spine-tingling.
Nothing says trust like a beer.
Belatedly spotted this in the comment. Metalhead TV have a collection of five videos o their site.
They have an even better view of Mike’s walkabout during Evidence.
Romanian site apropo has an interesting review of what it calls the best rock concert of the year. The reviewer highlights a number of interesting moments: the interaction between the two Mikes, Mike P asking the audience to sing in Romanian – presumably Evidence – and his question to the audience if they liked “manele” – the controversial musical style which originated in Romania. Ful review here.
Popcorn, meanwhile, headline their review “Faith No More, better than ever”.
The Romanian metal site Metalhead headlines its review “The Real Thing” and concludes that it is amazing how music that is in some cases over 20 years old sounds so fresh.
Metalhead has a very extensive photo collection here.
And how could I forget – but I almost did – the wonderful collection from Sergiu Mihaescu. Here is his site and he has even more excellent photos here.
And there is a very nice gallery here at RockXpress magazine too.
