Faith No More at Pukkelpop set list, stage dive, reviews and videos

August 22, 2009

Faith No More’s appearance at Pukkelpop again garnered rave reviews and there is quite a bit of pro-shot video of the show around.
Reviews
Belgian newspaper De Morgen gave a great review. They declared the comeback “a true triumph” and added: “The alternative rock band remains an error in a chemical lab experiment, in which by chance a powerful aphrodisiac was composed”.
Humo gave a four-star review and alluded to Patton’s goading of the VIPs and media who were seated at the front of the stage.

Video:
Patton goes walkabout among the VIPs and spits on the camera.

There was a guy that was going to stage dive and he didn’t clear it to the crowd so he ended up hitting his chin on the barrier rail. I was there and was completely confused but i asked Roddy on Twitter if the guy was ok and he said he was. Thank God BC that was a high jump.

    Dear Faith No More fans,

Maiby you saw some of my video’s, I had the whole concert on YouTube, recorded of the Live Stream. K. posted all ready some of my video’s here.

They where “HQ” video’s recorded of the Skynet-Live stream. More then 1 houre of concert (1 houre 10 minuts to be correct) with every extra song included the spit and kiss part.

I had splitted the whole concert in 10 parts to show you by YouTube.

A couple of minuts a go, I had a message of the Pukkelpop TV Team. They claimed the copyrights and I had to remove the video’s of YouTube.µ

I worked hard to show them to you.

I still got the concert on video on my computer.

If you got extra questions please visit my YouTube profile: Jerredk14.

Hopefully you don’t matter it to hard, and hopefully can I help to give it to you.

Respect to FNM and all his fans,

With greets from Belgium and excuses for bad English,
    Jerredk.

My video’s are all the: Pukkelpop 2009 – Faith No More Live – Part (1-10) & VIP

At 2’40” on the video of midlife crisis, you see a guy jumping from the stage into the crowd… But in fact, he didn’t jump far enough, missed the crowd and hurt himself badly.
Since that was during the break in midlife crisis, Jon and Mike P. were able to get down from the stage and check if the guy was OK. (which he wasn’t, indeed)

FNM was so great on Pukkelpop, it was the best show I’ve seen in years!
They seemed to have a lot of fun performing too.
Anyway, the belgian crowd loved it! And so did I, thanks guys!

I was 12 when Angel Dust came out and bought the tape. I’ve never stopped listening since and last thursday was the first time I was there to see you guys play. I’ll never ever forget it! Thanks!

I saw FNM at Beach Rock in 97. That was one of the most amazing concerts I had ever seen.
The Pukkelpop show was…. at least as satisfying than 11 years ago.

Thank you FNM, and please do come back for a longer show!

Was at the Pukkelpop show myself and thought it was a bit odd.the crowd were very quiet and i think this added to pattons frustration in getting into the crowd and going at the front row.he spent the gig winding the crowd up the whole time(i know he always does this but it was different somehow).roddy also sensed that patton wasnt his usual disarming self and kept speaking over MP to soften the blow of his smartarsed banter and it ended with Patton jumping into the crowd and winding up the vips.i know theyre a bunch of tossers, hell we all know that, but in the process he ruined the end of just a man with his arseing around.what about all tha fans who had travelled miles to see them and had been looking forward to that gig for ages?we didnt count.that was the 1st time id seen them since 1993 and i have to say the buzz wasnt the same.bring back jim!discuss..

Yeah, he really seems to love/enjoy stretching on the limits sometimes…to see how far he can go…until someone gets hurt…and then it’s just…? 😉

I partially disagree. I was in the crowd and I sang my lungs out (so did everybody around me). Yes you are right, the crowd wasn’t jumping and bashing each other about. But we drove all the way from Holland to see ’em at Pukkelpop and I have never experienced a performance like FNM gave away there!

And Mike is reknown for fucking up/with the audience, I found it quite amusing when they offered us smartdrinks over at the ‘Ravetent’ and the hurl onto the camera lens. 😉

You don’t want to rave… You want to rock!!!

Anyhow, I think FNM still have what it takes and more… Bring on the new album tour! (wishful thinking)

I don’t know where you’re from 2dles, but us belgians are rarely “the loudest crowd”.
I think most people enjoyed the show, maybe even some vips too…
Mike wasn’t really all that angry. He was just being Mike, I think.

Yes exactly, we Belgians are not known for being loud at concerts anyway, but we do rock and I can say that the atmosphere during FNM was very good! I was standing quite far from the stage and even there people were rocking out and really enthusiastic. The performance was just amazing and Mike didn’t seem annoyed to me at all. It was a great night!!!

ya know i noticed that too…I saw a few people in the front that were rockin out but i kinda felt like an idiot when i was singing and going nuts when the people next to me just kinda stood there and smiled lol but i was happy to be there and see things that my fellow Americans are not going to be able to see.
